Action, On a Sunday

[New school! Living on her own! A new and no doubt bizarre world to discover.

After finishing up registration, dropping her stuff off in her (at the time empty) new room, and bidding farewell to her parents, Annie heads out into the bright, shining outdoors (okay, it's 56 degrees and cloudy) to explore her beautiful new home.

No classes today, so there should be people hanging around campus, right? PRIORITY 1 MAKE FRIENDS, PRIORITY 2 TO BE DETERMINED LATER]

[So yeah, general exploratory first-day action mingle. Have at it.]

[Thomas was exploring the area, glancing between the map and his surroundings. It really does look like a nice school, but he's not sure if he would fit in.

Unfortunately, he's not paying close attention where he was walking as he buried his nose in the brochure for the 20th time today to memorize the locations before school starts]

[Yeah, she's just gonna roll on in like a boss and peek over his shoulder.]

You'll probably get a better feel for where everything is if you just walk around a bit.

[He jolts, the brochure flying out of his hands before he quickly scrambles to catch it again]

[There's a young man, about sixteen or so, pulling a cart full of luggage into Champy Hall. There's a couple of suitcases and several boxes that look like they probably contain electronics. It's by no means a small load, but he doesn't seem to be having too much trouble with it.]

[ Man, Duck is just so excited to be here! And with lots of other new people coming innnn...!

Hey, look, there's one now! ]

Hello! Are you new? [ Without the slightest pause to even give him the chance to begin to answer- ] Wow, that's a lot of stuff! Is it all yours? What do you need it all for?

[Well, that was abrupt. Athrun may be faster on the uptake than most people, but even he wasn't anticipating a subject change that fast.]

--Well, I'm, ah, moving in right now. It's all personal materials. Clothing, toiletries, a TV, a computer...

[He looks like he's got it but HEY, excuse to start conversations with strangers.]

[Annie, there is a black cat sitting on the wall and staring at you. Unknown to you, the cat is actually a person, who was hoping she'd be free to shift back to human form, but oh here's a new person who isn't in on all the weirdness yet, stupid school policies, blah blah blah.

How do you interact with the cat?]

[By picking up an erstwhile branch and waving one end of it around the cat's field of vision.]

[ There's definitely a seemingly nine year old girl hanging around the courtyard at the school, looking for anybody - possibly new students? - that she can prey on. She looks rather out of place here, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

But if she does spot someone, she'll beam rather cheerfully and head their way, waving.

At least she's being kind about it all, right? ]

[Celty finds herself walking about campus. She's still finding herself getting used to being out and about in the sun, even all these years after joining the school. She can see why people enjoy it so much. The feeling of the sun on your back, the soft breeze... its nice.

Granted, there's more breeze than sun today. But there's still a lot of people out and about and Celty liked to see the excited faces of new students.

On a whim, she heads to a random spot near the sidewalk with her motorcycle and starts to polish it. Her loyal horse didn't need polishing, but she felt he deserved it. He didn't get to ride as much in the old days and it was good to let him know he was still appreciated.

Clearly this will help with her image.]

[ Illya is clearly one of the rudest students on campus if she's planning on jumping her with a tackle. Someone has her priorities set straight, considering that she's been here for six years.

She practically knows everyone's names like the back of her hand at this point... ]

[When Annie eventually returns to her dorm room, she'll see another girl--with pale blue hair and a riding crop in her hand--sitting on the other bed.

She's smacking that riding crop against the palm of her hand.]

Annabelle Cino. It seems that you are my replacement roomate this semester.

[Not many people are bundled up in heavy jackets here. Which is totally insane because jebus, 56 degrees? AND it's lightly drizzling totally raining! Jaime reflects on how this state is wack as he pulls his hood up and hunches his shoulders against the breeze before setting out to figure out where all his classes are this semester.]

[ Illya can tell easily, even if she's not exactly in her uniform yet, considering that it's the day before classes start officially. ]

[It's okay, Jaime. You have at least one kindred spirit around here. Even if Duncan didn't have a pathological aversion to cold, he'd still be the same boat because he's a native Texan.]

[Duncan steps out of one of the main buildings with an umbrella in hand, pausing under the awning to open it up, even if it is just a miserable drizzle and not actually raining. He's sporting a scarf, gloves, and a light jacket underneath a heavy winter coat.]

[He notices Jaime nearby, looking a little lost. But more importantly, he notices the way he's dressed and knows immediately that this is a kid he can fuckin relate to.]

Hey, new kid. You need some help?

[ While everybody else is dealing with the pain and hassle and thrill and excitement of moving in! There's one girl who seems to be chilling out back by some trees.

She also seems to be talking to them. ]

And when are your chicks going to leave the nest, then?
