Overview: As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.

A foulmouthed, troublemaking, kleptomaniac little urchin with enough insecurities and daddy issues to sink a ship. Her father's a wealthy crime lord and she wants nothing more than to follow in his footsteps. But between her age, her sex - her family's crime business is not known for female bosses - and her bizarre anatomy, she's pretty desperate for respect. Anyone's respect. But especially her father's.
Enrollment Status: Seventh grade student, freshly enrolled.
Species: Nobody knows exactly what she is, but despite her parents both being perfectly mundane humans she's got a tail sticking out from her rear end, razor sharp teeth, and an exceptionally developed sense of smell. She also has no bellybutton, a case of amastia, and really severe dyslexia, all of which may or may not be related to the fact that she seems to be half-animal.
AU Overview: The only (legitimate) daughter of Nathan "Nary-a-Care" Frummagem, head of a major crime syndicate based in Tawhoque, a (fictional) port town in the United Kingdom. Her mother died when she was very young, drowned by some of the nereids which swim the port's waters, and Sette was raised almost entirely by her maternal grandmother, who was too old and weak to keep track of her as she grew older and more out of control. Her father was always too busy to pay her much of any mind. She grew up (to the extent she can be called 'grown up') hanging around the pub her father ran as a front operation, picking the pockets of drunks for him, one of the few ways she could get him to pay any attention to her.

She's always wanted to inherit his empire and be the next in a long line of Frummagem bosses, but she's starting to realize that she's got big obstacles ahead of her. The title of boss isn't actually inherited by blood, and even being named his successor wouldn't guarantee her the spot. You have to rule the Frummagems by respect, or you don't rule them at all. And for her, respect is hard to come by. She's young, she's short, she's a girl - the Frummagems are a patriarchal organization, and few women make it anywhere in their ranks. No woman has ever ruled the entire thing. And then there's her bizarre anatomy, which makes some question (where the Boss can't hear them) whether she's even part of the family at all. Frankly, unless something changes, when her father dies she's more likely to be murdered by his successor to simplify things than she is to take his place.

She found herself packed up to St. Augustus when social services contacted her father to inform her that she'd been absent from classes for more than a month. School and her have never mixed. It's not that she's stupid; in fact, she's quite bright, and has an absolutely genius head for numbers. But her persistent inability to read soured her on it pretty quickly, and that only got worse as she got older and her illiteracy made her stand out more and more. Besides, she figured, she's going to just take over for her Da when she grows up, so who needs all this school junk anyway?

Well, her father doesn't agree, and sent her across the ocean to St. Augustus, which had reached his ears as an excellent institution for...'different' students like herself. Along with her tuition fees, he made an extremely generous endowment to the school directly, with the promise of more to come if they saw to it that she got something resembling a decent education. That, to his mind, resolved the issue nicely.

Sette has no useful powers for a Contract Duel. She has an exceptionally sharp sense of smell, to the point of being able to smell things which should not actually have a smell, like magic and memories. This is not much good in a stand-up fight, however. The only thing she has which she could really use is that intelligent magic constructs seem to love her, and will listen to her commands even if explicitly programmed otherwise. If she had to contract duel someone who sent golems or sentient flames or something at her, she could probably turn them against her opponent. But that's, uh, pretty niche, and she's really not aware that she even has this power, so any attempts to challenge her to a duel are most likely going to be met by her kicking the challenger in the genitals and running away.

On the other hand, she's an excellent liar, thief, and conman (congirl?). She's a very capable pickpocket, and most of her victims don't even realize they've been had until she's long gone. Which is good, because she steals constantly. If it's not nailed down, she'll pocket it, even if it doesn't look particularly valuable. She also climbs and tumbles like a squirrel, thanks in part to her tail providing an extra balancing tool, but more due to long practice.

Overview: Rita Mordio in canon was the Sage Of Aspio, the brightest of the bright in a city of researchers, even at the young age of fifteen with no parents to have raised her much of ever. She was also kind of a sociopath, having had basically no real friends until Estelle came along and pulled her into a large, complex adventure where she developed the day-saving MacGuffins multiple times.
Enrollment Status: 10th Grade student (skipped one grade).
Species: Magical Cat Witch.
AU Overview: The daughter of the richest magical cats this side of the Potomac, Rita Mordio never actually got to know her parents - both were killed when she was just three years old. Saint Augustus took her in as a ward, because the mundane foster care system was not a good choice for an heiress who was often a cat and could cast a variety of magic. She hasn't had stable parenting this entire time, leaving her kind of an annoyed loner as of game start. She's also an Internet addict as a result, because people there provided a more stable semblance of a social life. Perhaps this year, she'll start developing real friendships finally?

When in Contract Duels, Rita prefers to use her cat form and cat-themed magic to fight with high mobility.
