[The phrase, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" is currently running through Hiroshi's head. Likewise, they may think they can force him to acknowledge that supernatural beings are, in fact, much more commonplace than they let on, but that does not mean he has to play along.
So he sits in an out of the way part of the campus, reading his SCIENCE book as if he is trying to shut out the entire world, and hoping that eventually all the really strange looking people will stop looking so strange, and he can just forget the supernatural even exists.
Just
yeah, this will work. Surely.]

A book on science. I feel that I should be as well-prepared as I can be for school.
[Especially THIS school.]

[La la la WHAT IS THAT SUPERNATURAL HE CAN'T HEAR YOU.]

[Ugggh he bets he knows where she's trying to go with this and he's not biting, damnit.]

[Oh, just go away will you?]

Then I'd like to hear your theories sometime.

[Ugh, she's mocking him and he knows it.]

Well, good luck then.

[Yeah, that's right. All of you. He'll figure out ways to explain it.]

Unless he's hiding it in one of those books. Or he could be genuinely reading those books for school or something.
Out of vague curiosity, she finds herself unconsciously walking closer to the student. Part of her doesn't even realize she's doing it.]

May I... help you?

She quickly starts typing into her PDA.]
Sorry. I don't usually see people reading in this area of the school is all.

It seemed like a sufficiently quiet space. I felt it might be nice.

I see what you mean. It's very relaxing.

[Which is frankly appreciated]

[She thinks. You could never really tell with humans. So diverse and complicated.]

[Among people who may or may not desire the taste of human flesh but IT DOESN'T MATTER THEY DON'T EXIST LA LA LA.]

Maybe you can find another home here.
[Hopefully without becoming assimilated into blue monsters and whatnot.]

[The sweaty "Human" asks, peering down at Hiroshi's book with a quizzical expression.]

Oh, uh... er, you surprised me. Ah, yes, I am certainly enamored by, ah, science and its myriad of explanatory possibilities.
[Not the Oni. Not the Oni. NOT.]
no subject
Yes... Science does offer an explanation to many things that would seem ludicrous otherwise.
[Like magic. He feels you there, Hiroshi.] Still, a strange thing to be learning at a school such as this.

What makes it any stranger than anything else about this school... that might be taught here?
[Great save, loser.]
