General action mingling!

[The last day before classes begin again is always an exciting time. As nice as it is to have the place to herself and her music, it got pretty quiet during the off months. It also means that this has been an early morning for her. She'd already gotten the notice that she'd be having roommates coming in, so she'd made sure that Suite D was ready. The suite is cleaned up and, after reading that some places like hotels and stuff left chocolates for guests, decided that sounded like a good idea. Except when it had come time to actually put the plan into action, there'd just been too many different kinds to choose from, and it wasn't like she knew what kind they would like.

So, basically everybody in the suite has a pile of candy waiting for them on their pillow. That's obviously the best choice. People like candy, right? ... Right!]

[Other than that, Ellen can probably be found all over campus today, ready and willing to meet people and help newcomers find their way around the place. Whatever might come up.]

[Ellen's very well familiar with the school's weirdness, although she'd been instructed to keep it quiet around new students just in case. They'd find out in good time anyway.

More concerning right now is the amount of stuff the girl had brought along with her, particularly that army of stuffed animals. Well... they'd make it work somehow!]

Well... no, but I thought it would be a nice way to welcome everybody.

[She pauses, fixing the heap of chocolate with a serious, thoughtful expression.]

It's not too much, is it? The book I read said usually only one is left, but I wasn't sure what people might like so....

[ She needs her stuff Ellen. Without stuff, she'll... actually probably be pretty fine but she's got it and she'll make it fit. ]

Oh. Oh! Wow, thanks, I didn't really expect... I mean, that's a lot of chocolate, and I like chocolate, but wow.

Uh, I'm Lissa. Guess we're living together.

[Not to worry, they'll figure something out! They got this!

With Lissa's thanks, Ellen actually gives a relieved smile. Yes! Good first impression get!]

I'm glad.

[She holds out her hand, offering a handshake.]

I'm Ellen. Welcome to St. Augustus.

[ Lissa turns, taking Ellen's hand. ]

Thanks. I dunno how long it'll take me to eat all this, but it's really, really generous of you.

[ Or a bribe to make sure Lissa likes her right off the bat, but she needs to keep positive! ]

[Hey, now, she wouldn't do something like that! ... Aaaaanymore.]

I guess there's no rush. I'm sure it'll last for awhile.

[She smiles as she shakes Lissa's hand. It looks like the two of them are going to get along just fine. Never underestimate the power of candy!

After a moment, she glances over to Lissa's stuff.]

Ah... do you need any help getting unpacked?

Not like it'll melt...

[ Hopefully! Welp. Her handshake is a little exaggerated, and then she's off to start figuring out how to unpack all of this. ]

Oh, uh, maybe. I don't want to get all my stuff all over your side of the room!
